Privacy Policy

Availability is built so that scheduling can happen without handing over your calendar. This page explains exactly what leaves your phone, what doesn’t, and how long anything is kept.

What never leaves your device

• Event titles, notes, locations, and attendees from your calendars
• Your contacts and the phone numbers or names of people you message
• The contents of your iMessage conversations

Availability reads your calendars on-device only to compute busy/free intervals.

What we store, and why

• Busy/free intervals (start and end times only) for the dates you offer — so the times you send stay accurate after you send them, and nobody can book over a conflict.
• Offered times and confirmed bookings for each invitation you send — so the person you invited sees live availability and the time is held once chosen.
• An anonymous install identifier that ties invitations to your phone. There are no accounts, passwords, or email sign-ins.
• Your display name (optional) and time zone — so an invitation can read “Coffee with Maya” and show times in the right zone.
• A push token (if you allow notifications) used only to silently refresh your availability while someone is looking at it.

Data is stored with Supabase in the United States and encrypted in transit and at rest.

Recipients

People you invite don’t create an account or provide an email address. When they book, we record only the chosen time. If they open the web page, standard server logs (IP address, browser type) are kept briefly for security.

What we don’t do

• No advertising, no tracking, no analytics SDKs
• No selling or sharing data with third parties
• No reading or storing message content

Retention

Invitations and their offered times are deleted after they expire. Busy intervals are replaced on each sync and are only kept for the date window of your active invitations. Confirmed bookings are kept so both parties can refer back to them; email us to have them removed.

Your choices

• Revoke calendar or notification access at any time in iOS Settings.
• Cancel any invitation you sent from the message bubble.
• Delete the app to remove local data; email feedback@theavailability.app to have server-side records deleted.

Children

Availability is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we’ll update the date above and note it in the app’s release notes.
